Watford 3 Saints 2
Del.icio.us!

WatfordSaints crash out from 4th position due to 2 last gasp goals from Watford. Currently lying in 19th position Saints will need to reform rapidly to face Colchester on Wednesday.

With 5 strikers to choose from and three back to back games in a week, it seems it may be time to start squad rotation. With Bradley Wright Phillips and Rasiak both hitting the net at QPR, Burley has  got Saganowski, John and Euell to choose from, for todays game at Watford, Colchester on Wednesday and Barnsley at the weekend.

Saints: (from) Davis, Wright, Thomas, Makin, Vignal, Dyer, Safri, Viafara, Surman, Wright-Phillips, Rasiak, Saganowski, John, Euell, Ostlund, Hammill, Licka, Bennett, Bialkowski.

Watford: (from) Poom, Doyley, De Merit, Shittu, Stewart, McAnuff, Mahon, Williamson, Smith, King, Henderson, Ellington, O'Toole, Priskin, Mariappa, Lee.

Saints started with Rasiak and John up front with Saganowski, Wright-Phillips, Euell, Ostlund and Bart on the bench.

Saints started rather lacklustre with an upbeat and attacking Watford side. Dyer was being herded out on the right wing  and on 30 minutes Davis showed what he was capable off by pulling off two superb saves to keep Southampton in the game. On 34 minutes Dyer switched sides with Surman and was certainly more effective down the left.

On 42 minutes Davis punched out from a corner under pressure, only to find Smith who crossed back into the box from the byline to meet the head of Shittu steaming in with pace to net Watfords first goal.at the far post.

A minute into injury time a through ball from Dyer met Rasiak onside to finish  just inside the right post
