Saints 2 v QPR 3
Del.icio.us!

A truly awful performance from Saints saw us move closer to the relegation zone and end any outside chance of the play offs.

The 3-2 score line disguises the true story of the game.

Saints lack coercion, fight and direction.

True we took the lead in the first minute but it was all down hill from then on.

Despite not looking at the races, we could have scored a 2nd when BWP was put through by a neat Surman ball, only to “pass back” to their goalkeeper, which just about summed up one of the worse displays from a saints player for a long time.

Shortly after that Stern John was presented with an open goal, and some how managed to find the last tier of the stand.

With Saganowski adding his contribution of misses by firing over on about 73 minutes, it made of mockery of the statements by the club about having too many good forwards and so not being a problem to allow Rasiak to go.

That miss signalled the start of a steady stream of fans leaving the ground early in disgust and disappointment.

Only Andrew Davies and to some extent Lallana can hold their heads up high after this game, the rest were poor, to varying degrees.    Lallana came on for BWP and did more in the short time that he was on than BWP or Euell has done in the last few games.  At least he showed some spirit and tried to drive forward.

The QPR goals were all avoidable especially the 2nd and 3rd.

The 2nd was due to Wright misjudging a cross and allowing AGYEMANG to steal it at the far post and slot the ball home and the 3rd was a comical mix up between Wright and Davis, which allowed a very average player like AGYEMANG to score his second.

If the players were playing for Dodd and Gorman today (as the board would have us believe) god help us when they’re not.

Some tough decisions have to be made (well not that tough actually as they are pretty obvious and should have been made a long time ago). These include dropping BWP, Euell and Wright for the next game.
