Saints have officially confirmed they are no longer in takeover talks.

The club have been in and out of offers periods with the stock exchange over the last year or so, most recently when former chairman Leon Crouch said he was in "serious negotiations" with potential investors.
That was believed to be the consortium fronted by Jonathan Fulthrope, John Cousins and Dave Merrington. However, they were not able to produce proof of funds.

Following a meeting with the club's bank, Barclays, the offer period has been ended.

In a formal announcement to the stock exchange the club said: "The Company announces that it has terminated offer talks and therefore is not in discussions with any party regarding a potential offer for the Company. Accordingly the Company is no longer in an offer period."

The club have informed the stock exchange, but no ennoblement on the Official site as yet!
