Good Luck to Anti Niemi, who has had to hang up his gloves due to a wrist injury. Certainly Saints best goalkeeper of recent years.

Now 36, the Finnish goalkeeper, made 106 appearances for the Saints between 2002 and 2006.  He has been struggling with a persistent wrist injury since March and doctors declared he would be out of action for another two months.

He was planning on retiring at the end of the season anyway, but this injury has hastened that decision.

Saints fans will remember him for his shot-stopping ability and bravery in front of goal, as well as his all round game and decision making.
