Paul Parry's 10th goal of the season helped secure the FA Cup semi finalists three valuable points. As a result Saints plunge deeper into relegation trouble with the prospect of dropping into the bottom three if Sheffield Wednesday win on Tuesday night.

Nigel Pearson quoted  "I have a lot of positives to take out of this game and can look forward to our next match with a little more confidence but we have to take our chances and cannot make any excuses for the defeat."

Personally I cannot see any positives, we lost!  We keep getting defenders on loan and yet fail to see the issue of not putting the goals in at the other end. Not sure what has happened to Saganowski but would prefer him and John at the moment in the hope he finds his shooting boots....
