Brave? Stupid? Or just Tight?

In a move that looks designed to please the clubs bankers, Saints have made appointments today that rival the appointment of Clive Woodward in shock value. 

The appointment of the Dutch duo Jan Poortvliet and Mark Woote, came out of the Blue and are clearly designed to fit the business plan presented to the Clubs bankers, with the intention of saving money and relying on the youth system.  

The one thing that has become clear in the Championship, is that pretty football doesn’t always get you results.  You need experience and a bit of steel about you. 

I personally was looking forward to seeing what Pearson could do with some of his own players, as I thought he preformed admirably in the loan market with Richard Wright particuarly being a great loan signing, along with Perry and Lucketti.
